Blofeld's (Christoph Waltz) Lair in 'Spectre'

Erfoud, Morocco (MA)
This dormant volcano, outside the Moroccan city of Erfoud, served as the filming location of Ernst Stavro Blofeld/Franz Oberhauser's lair in the 2015 James Bond film, 'Spectre'. Bond destroys the lair in the film -- the special effects explosion set the world record for largest film stunt explosion. Academy Award winning special effects coordinator Chris Corbould officially holds the record for his coordination of the explosion. The explosion had a blast yield of 68.47 tonnes of TNT.

The dormant volcano was also used as a filming location in the 1999 film, 'The Mummy' as the location of the fictional Egyptian city, Hamunaptra.
