Boats in Mangroves

Carriacou is known to sailors for the protection of it's mangroves when storms hit the islands. Or so I have been told. Carriacou is generally south of the hurricane belt. The mangroves along the northern side of the bay could easily shelter 100 boats, but hurricanes rarely come this far south.
