This is Davington Priory, near Faversham. This has been one of Bob's homes for many years. Geldof was the lead singer of the eighties pop group "The Boomtown Rats". He was also instrumental in mobilising the pop world to do something about the images he had seen of starving children in Ethiopia. Jointly, with Midge Ure of Ultravox, they wrote 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' in order to raise funds. The song was recorded by various artists under the name of Band Aid, and became one of the biggest selling singles of all time.
