Boy George's House

English singer and songwriter Boy George’s house (born George Alan O’Dowd) is a 5,453-square-foot, 6-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom, historic mansion on .25 acres in the upscale Hampstead area of London. The home, which fuses Gothic and Italianate styles, was built in 1868 for engineer Edward Gotto. The property has a Grade II designation, which protects it as an historic building. Amenities include a screening room and a rooftop terrace.

Boy George purchased the home in 1984 after the breakout success of his band, Culture Club. He listed the home in September, 2022 for £17 million. The property was at one time split into multiple homes, in which famous Brits Marty Feldman and Sam Smith have resided, though Smith sold his portion to Boy George so that they could be combined into a single home. The renovation project took three years to complete and was complicated due to its historic designation.

Boy George’s net worth is $50 million. Culture Club had numerous hits in the 1980s, including “Karma Chameleon”, which was the No. 1 single in 16 countries. He continues to release music as of 2020, and has appeared as a mentor on The Voice and The Voice Australia. He has also appeared on Celebrity Apprentice. Boy George is gay and has been in relationships with other musicians, including Culture Club drummer, Jon Moss. He has never been married and has no children.
