American politician and financier Kelly Loeffler’s house and her husband, American businessman Jeffrey Sprecher’s house is a 7-bedroom, 15,000-square-foot mansion in the Tuxedo Park neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. Loeffler and Sprecher purchased the four-acre estate, known as Descante, in 2009 for $10.5 million from soap opera creators Bridget and Jerome Dobson. At the time of the sale, it was the most expensive privately owned home in Atlanta’s history. The house was built in 1997 and features a nineteenth-century pool house imported from France.

In 2015, the couple spent almost $400,000 on renovations to the kitchen, greenhouse, and gardens. Despite this, county assessors decreased the overall taxable property value by $6 million dollars in 2016.

Loeffler and Sprecher also own at least three homes in Florida, a condo in Chicago, and a $4.3 million Georgia beach house.

In August 2019, Kelly Loeffler was appointed to the United States Senate by Georgia governor Brian Kemp as a replacement for Johnny Isakson, who resigned for health reasons. She failed to defend her seat in her first election, and was replaced by Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock in 2021.

In January of 2020, the same day Loeffler had a private senate briefing on the danger of COVID-19, she and Sprecher began selling vulnerable stocks, resulting in several complaints from government watchdog groups.
