This bridge is one of only a few truss bridges in the entire country that is constructed of reinforced concrete. This example retains perfect historic integrity, with no alterations present.
The construction of this bridge was an interesting process. The trusses were pre-cast in frames placed on the ground next to the bridge. When complete, these trusses were lifted up with a crane and placed into the slots in the abutment which hold the trusses. Deck and curb were cast in place.
