Plantation? Please, that's a horse ranch. This isn't the 1800's.

It is called Bear Creek Plantation, but it is just a horse ranch, and a pretty small one at that. It was built in the late 1980s and is still owned by a real estate investor.

I have lived down the road from this property for more than 50 years. It was built in the late 1890's to 1900's and at one time the property was about 10 times larger than today. It originally had cotton fields, melon fields, hay and pasture. Over the years, especially in the last 20, the property has been sold off and a very large number of up-scale homes have been built on the former "plantation".

They made a movie with this house, it's called born on fourth of july. This house was built in the early 1900 maybe late 1800. They used to own all of the land around. To this day they have about 10 or 15 acres with cows and maybe 5 or 6 horses. There driveway is 1 mile log! It's crazy lol

It's owned by Burk and Jean Collins, co-founders of Burk Collins & Co. which is in the commercial real estate business. The home was built in 1987 and is just shy of 10,000 sqft. The Collins' have listed the home for sale for $22.5M.
