Butler Motor Speedway

Butler Motor Speedway

Quincy, Michigan (MI), US
Dirt track races have been held here since 1952. The track was originally a 1/4 mile oval. It was enlarged to its current 3/8 mile size in 1956. Sprint cars, stock cars, and modifieds race here weekly throughout the summer.

Fans are advised to bring personal protective equipment, as the racing surface has more rocks than I have ever seen at a dirt oval track. I was hit twice in my one and only visit to the track, and I witnessed others who were also pelted by golf-ball sized rocks.
