Caiman found guarding marijuana stash (2013-01-09)

When Alameda County Sheriff's deputies entered this Castro Valley home on Tuesday, they not only found 34 pounds of marijuana valued at an estimated $100,000, but also the 5-foot-long caiman inside a Plexiglas tank guarding it in a bedroom.

Sadly, the Caiman, named "Mr. Teeth" later died at the Oakland zoo.

I would think that if the caiman wis in a tank, unless the weed was in the tank as well, the animal was hardly "guarding" the weed...
