Built in the early 1900’s, our main house of Post-Novitiate training, Capuchin College, is located in Washington, DC adjacent to the Catholic University campus. Capuchin College is an intellectual center for our Province, and it is where Friars live and study as they prepare for final Profession to the Capuchin Order.
Throughout its history, Capuchin College has welcomed Friars from many parts of the world who come to Washington, DC to pursue higher education. In recent years, the Province has generously provided a home for international Capuchin students who come to learn English as a second language. In the summer of 2002, approximately 40 young Capuchins studied there.
