Caribic Star

Caribic Star

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic (DO)
"Caribic Star" was built in 1968 as "Vicente Puchol" for Compania Transmediterranea S.A., Valencia, Spain, and renamed "arcadia" in 1987. In 1990 she was converted to ferry and renamed "Angelina Lauro". Her name was changed back to "Arcadia" and in 2001 she moved to the Great Lakes for the service with Great Lakes Cruises. In 2002 she was sold by auction and renamed "Caribic Star". Recently she has been laid up at Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and was offered for sale again. She seems now to be named "Coco Explorer 2" and still again for sale (I hope I got this right, keep finding new information all the time...).
