Celine Dion, Canadian singer, singwriter and businesswoman, lives in this Henderson, Nevada home while she is on residency for her show at the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace.

Celine Marie Claudette Dion was born in Charlemagne, Canada on March 30, 1968. The youngest of 14 kids from a musical family, Celine had her breakout moment when she was 12. After composing and recording a song with the help of her mom and brother, Celine was discovered by manager, Rene Angelil. Having been sent her song by her brother, it is rumored the tape brought tears to his eyes and he mortgaged him home to bankroll her first album. Celine and Rene married in 1994. By 1988, Celine was well known in Quebec and had released a few French language albums. She released her first English language album in 1990, titled “Unison”, but her big American break came when she and Peabo Bryson recorded the Disney duet for the movie “Beauty and the Beast”. This was Celine’s first US hit to reach #1 and she won both a Grammy and an Academy Award for the song. Celine has currently released 14 French language albums and 11 English language albums. She also has 5 Grammys, is the second best-selling female artist in the US and has countless other major music awards.

In 2003, Celine Dion announced a residency at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. One of the first of the kind, Celine would perform at the palace and instead of touring, the people would come to her. A 4,000 seat arena made to look like the Colosseum was added just for her. Between 2003 and 2007, Celine performed her show “A New Day” 717 times to more than 3 million people. Almost every show sold out and it is said she grossed roughly $400 Million during this residency. She started a new show in 2011 for a three year run, but took time off in 2014 to help with her family as her husband dealt with health issues. Her most recent return was announced in August of 2015 and is said to run through 2019.

Celine Dion and her three sons (Rene-Charles, Nelson and Eddy) reside in this 1.2 M, three bedroom home. The home features a swimming pool, big kitchen including a bar, cameras throughout the house and a playroom. The home is also located near a golf course, which is great for this avid golfer. Celine has recently made news by selling her extravagant homes in Montreal and Florida causing speculation that she is currently planning on making the Henderson home her main residence. On January 14, 2016, Celine Dion’s husband Rene, passed away after a long fight with throat cancer.

Hi Celine.I sure hope you are feeling better and that they find some. way to help you. Have you considered trying the Mayo Clinic. We have one in here in AZ, FL and in Minnesota. I, too have been getting excruciating spasms that make it so you can sit , walk, or move. It was caused by chemo and radiation from cancer. It is terrible so I can totally understand what you are going through. I just wanted to see how you are. Miss your singing on stage, but would prefer you working on your health and being with your children. Take care and remember the man upstairs knows what your going through. Ciao.
