GE describes this 'mountain' as "Black Butte". And you'd be hard pressed to find a swamp anywhere near Palmdale, CA.

No, but heavier brush concentrations in a gully that collects rainwater seems reasonable.

What's interesting is that there are lots and lots of classified things in Palmdale (Home of the Lockheed Skunk Works for example)
