The house, founded in 1858, produces both vintage and non-vintage cuvee. Mercier owned the original rights to the name Dom Perignon but sold the brand to Mo√ęt et Chandon in 1930. Today the house is under the umbrella of the LVMH group. If you have children, this is the most fun visit in Epernay, with its laser-display, descent in a panoramic lift, miniature train ride around the cellars, and the world's largest barrel on view.
