Charlie's Fish House

Charlie's Fish House

Crystal River, Florida (FL), US
In Crystal River, people tend to send out-of-towners to Charlie's for the views of the wide river and the simply prepared local fish as well as oysters and stone crab claws (you only eat the claws because fishermen haul 'em up, yank off one claw, and throw them back to grow another). A clean, family-friendly place, it boasts a substantial boat dock for waterborne diners. It's really one of the few non-chain restaurants in Crystal River, a town worth visiting for a view of some of the 400 West Indian manatees that make the warm river waters here their winter home.
