Church built in the eleventh century, was rebuilt in the thirteenth century and consecrated in the 1292 and, of this period conserves the bell-tower maded with bricks, while the facade is clearly from the nineteenth century.

Interior has a Greek plan - clearly inspired to the model of Salute Church (sestriere of Dorsoduro) - and was built on the project of architect Carlo Corbellini; altars keep paintings of the eighteenth century as La morte di San Giuseppe by Francesco Maggiotto, La Vergine che assiste all'incoronazione di Venezia by Jacopo Palma il Giovane; while on the main altar find place two statues - San Pietro and il Profeta Geremia - sculpted in the 1798 by Torretti (Giovanni Ferrari).
