Church of Santa Eulalia (Birds Eye)
The Church of Santa Eulalia is a large Gothic church built in the 13th Century on the site of a former mosque. It took twenty-five years to complete. In one of the twelve chapels is a crucifix Jaume 1 is said to have carried in 1229 during the conquest of Mallorca. Most of the chapels are baroque and there is a magnificent baroque altarpiece. Jews of Palma were baptized here when they adopted Christianity in 1435 to escape being burnt at the stake.
