Claude Giroux arrested (1 July 2014)

Ottawa, Canada (CA)
On Canada Day, Philadelphia Flyers hockey player Claude Giroux was arrested at the Great Canadian Cabin nightclub for repeatedly grabbing a male police officer's butt. Sources say that alcohol was a factor. Giroux spent the night in jail, but he was released the next day after authorities decided not to press charges.

Two days later, Giroux released a statement apologizing for his "misguided attempt at humor".
