Located near Coelbren in Wales are the remains of a Roman Fort. The fort is a rectangular earthwork enclosure, about 154m east-west by 142m, crowning a low knoll in otherwise marshy ground above the confluence of the Nant-y-bryn and the Camnant with an embanked annex on the east.
The site of the fort is clearly visible from the sky. Archaeologists have also noticed cropmarks of a big building about 300 m south of the fort. It is unknown whether this is Roman or modern.
