Convair F-106 Delta Dart

Convair F-106 Delta Dart

Lakewood, Washington (WA), US
When I joined the Air Force in 1985, this jet was still seeing service in the Air Guard as an "ALert Bird" at Homestead Air Force Base. The Convair F-106 Delta Dart was the primary all-weather interceptor aircraft of the United States Air Force prior the the F-4 (though the F-4 was being phased out at about the same time), F-15 and F-16, and the Air Guard retired it in 1988.
