Known as the Centennial Civic Centre when built in 1967, this multi-use facility has undergone several changes over the years. A severe storm destroyed two ends of the arena in 1976, and in repairing the damage, the building was expanded to include new locker rooms and more storage space.
From 2007-08, a $15 million renovation and expansion project was completed. Over 400 seats were added to the arena, and ten luxury boxes were created. A new wing was added next to the arena feauring six sheets of ice for curling. The facility was renamed before reopening in 2008.
The arena's main tenant is the Swift Current Broncos major junior hockey team, along with a AAA midget (competitive youth) hockey team and a box lacrosse team.
