Completed in 2002 and fully opened in 2004, the cable-stayed bridge carries the LUAS (tram) Green Line and a pedestrian walkway across a busy road junction (Churchhtown Road Upper, Taney Rd, and Dundrum Rd/Bypass). The bridge is named for William Dargan, an Irish railway pioneer.
