The LD generation of the Dodge Charger went into production in 2011, replacing the 1st-generation LX models. However, it wasn't until the 2012 model year in which the SRT-8 would be brought back onto the Charger. There was also a special "SRT 392" trim package available from the 2013 to the 2014 model years, and 2015 would see that nameplate replacing the SRT-8 name as the high-performance Charger.
