Auto racing on this 1/4 mile dirt oval track dates back to 1965. The track was originally named "Woody's Speedway", after its owner, Woody Carpenter.

After 1971, the property was converted to a rodeo venue, but the race track returned in 1975. Winged sprint cars, street stock cars, and micro sprints race here on Sundays.
This was the home track of one of the best young talents to tour the nation in recent years, Jesse Hockett. Tragedy struck in 2010, when Hockett was electrocuted while working in his race shop. The track has held an annual memorial race for Hockett.
