Douglas S. Schatz is a co-founder of Advanced Energy and has been its Chairman since its incorporation in 1981. Advanced Energy is a Fort Collins, CO-based leader in reliable power conversion solutions used in thin-film plasma manufacturing processes and solar energy generation. He has been its president and CEO. Mr. Schatz is chairman of the board of Abound Solar, a thin-film solar panel manufacturer, and served as interim CEO of Abound from June 2009 to January 2010. Mr. Schatz is currently on the boards of several additional private companies and organizations, both for-profit and non-profit.
