Arguably the largest farmhouse in the state of Illinois, this Italianate mansion was commissioned by successful livestock farmer William R Duncan around 1869 who had relocated to the Bloomington Illinois area from Kentucky.

Duncan did not occupy the finished mansion very long, passing away in 1876 at age 57.

The home sat vacant for several decades and has gone through some recent ownership and restoration efforts. Located off historic RT66, is on the national register of landmarks.
