Elbe Crossing 2 is a group of pylons providing overhead lines for four 380kV three phase AC current circuits across the River Elbe. It was constructed between 1976 and 1978 to supplement Elbe Crossing 1, and consists of 4 masts. This is one of two carrying pylons, each 227 metres tall. They are the tallest pylons in Europe. This one is on the northern side of Elbe, the other one is on the island of Lühesand.
