Estadio Malvinas Argentinas

Estadio Malvinas Argentinas

Mendoza, Argentina (AR)
The stadium was built in 1976 in preparation for the 1978 World Cup. It has capacity for 48,000 spectators although it doesn't provide seating for all of them, like many Argentine stadiums.

The stadium used to be named Ciudad de Mendoza, but was renamed amidst the patriotism that the Falklands War (Spanish: Guerra de las Malvinas/Guerra del Atlántico Sur) sparked in Argentina in 1982.
