On September 29, 2006, the ABC reality TV show and thousands of volunteers began rebuilding the Koepke family home. Just over a month before, the family's 41 year-old father died from a rare form of brain cancer. His wife and four children were provided with this 3500 sq. ft. home.

Despite dealing with a few thunderstorms during the week-long project, it was completed 7 1/2 hours ahead of schedule. The episode first aired on November 19, 2006.
