Fagan's Cross

Fagan's Cross

Hana, Hawaii (HI), US
Paul Fagan, founder of the Hotel Hana Maui in 1946 (Kauiki Inn), introduced cattle ranching to Hana. He purchased the cane-covered hills surrounding Hana and brought herds of Herefords from Molokai to establish Hana Ranch. Fagan ’s Cross, a memorial to Paul Fagan who passed away in 1960, sits atop the 545-foot summit of Puu O Kahaula, known as Lyon ’s Hill.

There is a road to the top of the hill, but it is generally not open to the public for vehicles, so it is a long, steep climb, but the view is stunning.
