Columbus Drive, west of Grant Park, is part of the area used for Taste of Chicago (an annual 10 day event). Something is going on at Grant Park (including two concerts), but it does not extend onto Columbus Drive.

Both the pro volleyball event on the beach and the Lollapalooza concert event at Grant Park were held on the weekend of August 3-5, 2007.
