Former Histon Railway Station

Former Histon Railway Station (StreetView)
Histon Station was opened 17.8.1847 and closed 5.10.1970. Histon Station was part of the March - Cambridge Railway in England.

Today the St. Ives platform is demolished in order to make room for the guided bus route that now runs through the station site. The Cambridge platform is also largely demolished and the canopy attached to the station building was removed. The station building is still standing.

Note: the guided bus route that runs through Histon Station also runs through Long Stanton & Oakington Railway Station.

The guided bus route is called Cambridgeshire Guided Busway and is the longest guided bus route in the world.
