Former Listowel Railway Station

Litowel Station was opened 20.12.1880, closed to passengers 4.2.1963 and closed completely 11.6.1983. Listowel was part of the Limerick and Kerry Railway in Ireland.

Today the station building is still there as a private house. Both platforms are also still there, but the trackbed between the two platforms has been filled up to platform level to make a road.

Note: The edge stones on each side of the road are the two railway platforms.
