Former Longridge Railway Station

Former Longridge Railway Station

Longridge, United Kingdom (GB)
Longridge Station opened July 1848, closed to passengers 2.6.1930 and closed completely 6.11.1967. Longridge Station was part of The Preston & Longridge Railway in England.

Today the station building still stands, but is now a heritage centre, café and business centre. A glass extension has been built out onto one of the platforms. The canopy is now extended with new canopy brackets designed as replicas of the originals. An outdoor garden and walkway is now on the site of where the rails would've been.
