Description:This fortification was built from around 1675. Today's building substance originates from 1749. Together with Fort Barrington at the other side of the bight it guarded the harbour of St. John. originally there were 70 soldiers and 36 cannons. Today there are only the walls and 10 cannons visible. The cannons have a weight of appr. 2,5 tons, it is said, their radius of action was 2.400 meter
