A military communications, electronics, and electronic warfare research and development center, located at the 1,560 acre office/industrial park-like Fort Monmouth. Major developments in communication and surveillance technologies have taken place here, including advances in radar and night vision, and it is now one of the largest C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence) R&D centers in the country.

I used to be stationed in Fort Monmouth back in 1989 as a mechanic. Very good place, but very expensive to live around.
