The Brody House was designed by A. Quincy Jones in 1949 on South Mapleton Drive in Holmby Hills neighborhood for Frances Brody, a well-known LA philanthropist and daughter of advertising titan Albert Lasker. She lived here until her death.
It as sold for $15 Million in 2010 to billionaire James Chao, the chairman of Houston-based Westlake Energy.
In January 2014, it was sold to Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi for $40 Million.
6 months later in the summer of 2014, they sold the house to Napster co-founder Sean Parker for $55 million.
