Fredrick Seymour Wheeler was the owner of American Can Company, a tin can manufacturer founded in 1901.

Wheeler commissioned architect, Marion Sims Wyeth, to build this 40 room mansion in 1924, and named it 'Bienestar'.

The home was eventually converted into condos.
