The water tower in the park was a popular spot for a few friends of mine to visit (one friend lived very close to here). In senior year of high school we chose to do a short film for a law class project, involving a drug deal gone bad and a subsequent bumbled prosecution. We filmed the deal up here, and a bit on the steps of the Salem District Court (q.v.).
I also had a friend who insisted she could channel her past lives up here, believing that she had been a witch in a past life. It didn't occur to her that none of the accused witches ever admitted to witchcraft and it is widely believed today they were the victims of catty girls and mass hysteria.
