Gary Sellers' house

Gary L. Sellers is a Partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in the Firm's Corporate Department. Simpson Thacher is consistently among the most profitable large law firms in the world on a per-partner basis.

Sellers advised Sirius Satellite Radio in its $13 billion merger of equals with XM Satellite Radio. He also counseled Sirius XM in the early 2009 investment transactions made by affiliates of Liberty Media Corporation. He has represented ITT Corporation in numerous important transactions since 1990; he is the lead advisor to ITT in connection with its recently announced plan to split into three independent, publicly-held companies prior to the end of 2011. He advised Marathon Acquisition Corp. in its $1 billion merger with Global Ship Lease Inc., an important container shipping company.

In the first, and still largest, hospital merger in New York State, Mr. Sellers represented the parties to the $3 billion merger that created New York Presbyterian Hospital. He later represented the several Catholic hospitals in New York City in the multi-billion dollar merger that formed St. Vincent Catholic Medical Center.
