George Washington by Charles Willson Peale

Peale painted several portaits of George Washington over his life. This portrait was done in 1772 and portrays Washington as a colonel in the First Virginia Regiment. This portrait is a copy of the original and is currently at Mount Vernon. The original is at Washington and Lee University.
