George Washington's Boyhood Home

On July 2, 2008 archaeologists announced the discovery of the remains of George Washington's boyhood home. Thousands of artifacts found in the cellars and foundation confirm that Washington's family lived here.

Situated on a bluff above the Rappahannock River, the farm is the site of a historic ferry crossing.
