Gerald J. Ford is a billionaire banker. He turned around California's struggling Golden State Bancorp and, with fellow billionaire Ron Perelman, and sold it to Citigroup in 2002 for $6 billion in stock. Ford survived the Citigroup meltdown in 2008 by hedging his shares with options. He owns a 25,791 sq ft home on this site that is valued as the 2nd most expensive in Dallas. He also has homes in the Hamptons, Dallas, Manhattan and Beverly Hills, as well as a working ranch in New Mexico and thoroughbred farm in Kentucky.
