An annual ceremony is held here in the morning of February 2nd (Groundhog Day). The town's famous groundhog, Puxsutawney Phil, comes out from his hole and looks for his shadow. If he sees it, there will be six more weeks of winter. If not, then spring will arrive early. Phil saw his shadow in 2014.
