The major league pitcher lived here. He was the first pitcher in Major League history to win the Cy Young Award for 4 consecutive years (1992-1995), during which he had a 75-29 record with a 1.98 ERA, while allowing less than one runner per inning. He is the only pitcher in MLB history to win 15 games in 17 consecutive seasons. In addition, he has been awarded a record 17 Gold Gloves.
