Mr. Snowden began his computer technology career with IBM in 1966 and brought his computer expertise to the lottery industry when he joined Mathematica, Inc., in 1976. Ten years later, he co-founded Gaming Dimensions, Inc., a gaming software and consulting firm whose first clients were the Rhode Island Lottery and Datatrol, Inc., a leading supplier of online terminals and systems. In 1979, Gaming Dimensions and Datatrol merged to become the world's leading supplier of online wagering networks. Then in 1980, Mr. Snowden and two partners acquired the assets of Datatrol's Gaming System Division and founded GTECH Corporation.
