Historic English Manor home North East of London half way between Bury St. Edmunds and Cambridge. A broad history, it was once a CO-ED international boarding school in the 60's and 70's for grades 8-12 based on the American Education system. Most of the students were Canadian or USA with a focus on preparing for acceptance to USA or Canadian Universities.

Name is Will Ladd. Attended Herringswell Manor School from 1966-1967. Made lifelong friends there who have reunited many times throughout the USA. Are planning a reunion for 2020 to revisit the Cambridge area. Probably 10-15 of us. Looking for accommodations for all of us for 4 nights. Any suggestions? Thanks.

My GGreat Aunt, wife of Leopold Davies once lived in the nearby Herringswell Place. Leopold was Lord of the Manor of Herringswell until his death in 1915 when his nephew ? Llewellyn Davies took over. They didn't live in the big Edwardian house that later became a school which had been sold to the Ballance family in early 1900s. Arthur Ballance was a wealthy stockbroker.. My Great G Aunt was Mary Ann Davies ( nee Harrison).

I attended from (8th Grade) Fall 1977 through Summer 1980 (10th Grade) when the school closed. Not the fondest of memories.

From 1981 until 1987 was owned by the “Orange people” , followers of Indian guru Rajneesh, later known as Osho. A community of from 80 to 100 red clad disciples renovated the buildings and lived and loved there. I was one p, and loved it.
