Hoover House by Henry Hoover

Hoover House by Henry Hoover

Lincoln, Massachusetts (MA), US
Built in 1937. Hoover built the house for he and his family.

This house predates the Gropius House (built in the same town) by a year. When the plans were submitted to the town building department Hoover was asked why he was building a gas station so far back from the road - it was not visible from the road and no cars would drive up there to get gas.

A beautiful home - an example of sophisticated simplicity.
