The Indiana State Fairgrounds Mile, the oldest continuously-operating automobile race track in the United States. Built as a horse track in 1892, it hosted its first automobile race on June 19, 1903.

The Milwaukee Mile claims to be the oldest, continually operating motor speedway in the world (since 1903).

It also began as a horse track... as a private track around 1876, and purchased by the state in 1891.
