This island disappeared over 20 years ago. Here are the facts: It was in the middle of a river delta. There has been zero rise in the sea level in the area. The island simply eroded beneath the surface. It's nothing new - islands have been doing this forever. Any claim that this is related to global warming is simply fearmongering.
